first time building, mostly want 1080p high settings in competitive games and some newer single player stuff. heres what i picked so far:

  • cpu: a current gen 6 core, the cheaper one
  • gpu: midrange card, 8gb vram
  • 16gb ram (2x8)
  • 1tb nvme
  • 650w psu, bronze
  • b series motherboard
  • case with 3 fans included
is 8gb vram going to be a problem? and should i get 32gb ram? budget is tight so i cant go crazy

for 1080p thats a solid build. 8gb vram is getting tight in some new games at high/ultra textures but for comp games youre totally fine. just drop textures a notch in the heavy ones

32gb is nice to have but 16 is fine for gaming. if ram is cheap right now go 32, if not upgrade later, its the easiest upgrade there is
